I feel like Telltale games significantly reduce how much the player choices matter every time they release a new game. Game of Thrones being the worst when it comes to that.

People have been saying that since Telltale exits though.. I don’t necessary disagree, but i just view their games as unconventional movies and go with it:)

I get so frustrated when Telltale games force me to go a certain path. Like, no, I don’ want to go there.. And then they just kinda throw you in the same spot no matter what you do.

Imo, it would be fine if they advertised it differently than a complete interactive experience where your choices matter.

Heroes of the Storm feels like it is missing something. I expected so much more from Blizzard, and Heroes definitely lack the complexity Starcaft and Dota have.

That’s the thing, they are trying to do something different and create a more accessible experience. It will certainly enrage the diehard fans, but I don” thin it is necessarily a bad thing.

That was my first thought too. They kinda made it simpler, and I though it was good, just not my cup of tea..

It is a fun game to gather some friends and have fun for a few hours. Nothing that will consume your life though (Hello Dota 2).

Heroes has one rare quality that many people overlook. Balance.

Unbalanced characters and heroes have been a scourge of online games since forever, and people just usually min-max everything and you end up playing only a few characters for all eternity.

Heroes of the Storm has a bunch of useful and balanced characters and people usually freely change characters and try out different ones.

Yeah, they managed the balance just right. Using all characters is an important part of every game, it helps shift the meta and allows the matches to be dynamic and fluid.

Telltale receives a lot of criticism, yet it is one of the few game companies with a unique expression. They have a tendency to create pretty stories that tie into the core material, and allow the player to investigate the plot in a unique manner. I can’t critique them because they deliver an engaging product and constantly provide hours of entertainment. Always looking forward to new games developed by them, and Batman is great, imo.
