The importance of having a hands free headset is sometimes not understood until you are without one. I have used a Bluetooth headset since before there were mandatory laws requiring drivers to use hands free headset at all times. I recently had a situation where a Bluetooth headset I owned stopped working and I went three days without one, and it was the worst three days I have had in recent memory. I live through my phone, my emails, texts, phone calls, internet, everything I do I do through my phone, so not having a Bluetooth headset was a real pain. I never really understood the purpose of buying a more expensive Bluetooth headset, so I always purchased low or midgrade headsets just to get me by. A friend recommended that I take a look at the Aliph Jawbone Icon Bluetooth headset so I decided to take a gander. The Icon is the fourth version of the Aliph Jawbone line of Bluetooth headsets, with the Original, 2, and Prime versions preceding the Icon. When I saw the $100 price tag I said no way, until I thought about how it was hard for me to hear over my exhaust while I was driving, or the fact that people had problems hearing me the majority of the time while I was using my old Bluetooth headset (which shall remain nameless). So I decided to bite the bullet and purchase the headset, with insurance this time, and I was so impressed I decided to write a review. Read more for the full review.
