Gran Turismo 5 Amazon

No official date has been set for the long-awaited Gran Turismo 5. But two major retailers have picked one. Different ones. Above you have Amazon. They're going with Dec. 29, which has been rumored to be the date. Read more to see the other date.

Below you have GameStop. They're going with Feb. 2. Interesting. I wonder if either version has full vehicle damage?

@matt. Dude GT 5 is going to be perfect. It will look and feel exactly like it does in real life. So what that you might be able to bounce off railings like Walter Payton. It will be THE driving simulator.

damage doesnt matter. because no game is a true replica of real life sodamage doesnt matter. thing is about gt people who play it want to race and race well why would you want to go against someone who cant drive their car casuse some idiot jacked their car up if that is the case crash into epople and ruin it for everybody.

@keys. I would agree with you that damage doesn't typically matter. There are countless racing games that either had half-ass damage or none. But none of those claimed to be "The Real Driving Simulator". All we're saying is that you can't be a true simulator if you don't include damage. That's it.

GT5 will more than likely be gorgeous and have outstanding driving physics. But the lack of damage is a glaring omission. And I would want to go against people who can't drive. Easy wins. Otherwise you're stuck with people who can't drive bouncing off railings and you to get ahead.

If you're going to be a driving simulator, you have to simulate driving.

i dont see why people dont get my point, if ur racing online with some idiot and he decides to mess around, then he loses, wath nascar on fox tv, when one idiot spins out of control or drives retardly, he wont win, if u dont want someone crashing into you then play offline, simple. no ones complaining bout the game itself, but calling it a simulation when someone can drive right thru you is hardly sim.
