Wreck-It Ralph: The Video Game Themed Toy Story

Wreck-It Ralph

Disney has a new movie coming out and I don’t know about you guys, but I am highly anticipating its release! The movie is called Wreck-It Ralph, said to be a video game version of the beloved Toy Story movies and comes to theatres November 2nd of this year. It is in fact a video game based children’s movie, but bear with me mature audience, I believe it will be a must see. Especially when you see who directs and is casted in it! Read more!

The movie is directed by Rich Moore (TV’s “The Simpsons” and “Futurama”) and the cast includes John C. Reilly (voice of Wreck-It Ralph), Jack McBrayer (Fix-It Felix), Jane Lynch (Sergeant Calhoun), Sarah Silverman (Vanellope Von Schweetz) and much more. In the trailer that you can view below, you see Ralph attending a support group made up of video game history’s favorite “Bad Guys”, including Zangief (Street Fighter), Clyde (Pacman Ghost), Bowser (Mario series), Eggman (Sonic Adventures), Zombie (House Of The Dead) and many more. You also find a language barrier situation between a main character and Q-Bert himself.

Wreck-It Ralph is about an arcade game character named, you guessed it Wreck-It Ralph. Ralph decides he no longer wants to be seen as the “Bad Guy” just for doing his job. The star of the game or “Good Guy” is Fix-It Felix. Ralph finally grows tired of decades spent being “bad” and Felix saving the day, so he takes matters into his own hands. He goes on a game hopping journey where he meets a few interesting game stars.

Ralph’s adventure takes you to a first-person shooter called “Hero’s Duty” where he meets Sergeant Calhoun, a rough and tough soldier. You see his experience and reaction to the extreme game change with utmost fear. He also jumps to a game where he runs into a character named Vanellope Von Schweetz of the racing game called “Sugar Rush”, a candy-land themed world. During his journey, Ralph accidentally unleashes an evil that threatens the entire arcade.

With this Ralph has a chance to become the “Good Guy”. Of course, you will have to wait and see the movie to find out if Ralph saves the day like he’s always dreamed of.
