Read more to find out what Sony plans to do for the pricing of the PlayStation 3 to allow for the most successful holiday season possible.
With exclusive blockbuster titles such as Uncharted 3, Resistance 3, Ratchet & Clank: All 4 Ones, and more validating the PS3 as a great console to own this holiday season, Sony decided the sweeten the deal for those yet to adopt the PS3 console. Beginning today, the 160gb PlayStation 3 will retail for the price of $249.99, down from its original $299.99 price point, and the new inFAMOUS 2 limited edition PS3 bundle sporting a 320gb hard drive, a copy of inFAMOUS 2, and 30-day membership to PlayStation Plus will retail for the price of $299.99.
So will this have a strong impact on the success of the PlayStation 3 this holiday season, only time will tell, but providing the console at the same price point model of the upcoming PlayStation Vita at $249.99/$299.99, is just one more reason to adopt the PlayStation 3 for those who have yet to make the move.
