In this episode, Sanii goes M.I.A. and finally gets a date, but that doesn't stop Diz and Louie from making jokes like usual. Returning gamer, Konrad, returns to fill in for Sanii. We run down the games we've been playing, and have a round table on the Forza Motorsport 3 demo. Of course we also have a run down on Halo 3: ODST. We also explain how awesome ODST is, and how it has changed Diz's short tension span for games and changes his view of how Halo used to suck. Konrad introduces a new segment for the Generation X show called “Gamer Tunes”. In the bitchin gamers segment Diz throws another jab at PS3 owners with the cut & paste feature, and almost comes to tears like a family member died when he bitches about his feelings on the current condition of gaming. We also show mad love to PC gaming and PC gamers in the Bitchin Gamers segment. Tune in.

.
And you can't say that people are getting tired of halo, then remember that ODST sold 2 million in one day. That doesn't illustrate a community that is ready to move on. The franchise still sees more unique players online each day than any other console exclusive and perhaps across the board.
.
It really just seems like you have a problem with the 360. Your argument that the console or the Halo franchise is somehow holding back is flawed and assumes that PS3 exclusives are not. The truth is that Halo still, years after Halo 3, offers a list of features that most games out there don't. Yes, it hasn't changed much since Halo 3. But too few games have caught up for it to be a big deal.
.
People are excited about Uncharted's cinema mode. And while it does sounds pretty badass, it's not too far ahead of what Halo has allowed us to do for years. Killzone tried to make the game website relevant but failed miserably when compared to bungie.net. And Resistance 2 has a much better story than Halo 3/ODST, but is barebones online and a basic linear shooter offline. And, by the way, Halo still offers us a significantly deep co-op experience. Far deeper than most of the PS3 exclusives.
.
Only MLB The Show is doing anything worth noticing in terms of innovation.
.
There hasn't been an "innovative" PS3 exclusive since MGS4. And even that game is gone completely by the waste side. Uncharted 2 appears to be taking the crown, though, and that is really excites the PS3 owner in me. While the PS3 exclusives are far more varied, they aren't pushing anything forward. They're just really good, for the most part.
.
So it's not just the 360 that's fucking the industry. But the truth is that up until recently, it was the industry. The PS3, my favorite console, is starting to gain grown in sales and should have an awesome 2010. But let's not start acting like the Halo franchise is somehow dooming a gaming industry that is only giving gamers what we want.
.
Oh, thanks for listening. AZTEC79 on both XBOX and PS3.

The mic I was using was two weeks old and i didn't think it was it , but it was . I just got home 10 minutes ago from Micro Center and bought me a nice usb 30$ mic
with noise cancellation. Works great! Sorry for the trouble guys. As far as trying to justifying Halo and it being old , well the game is really damn fun and thats all that matters to me . Good games don't get old , i might get tired of some title after playing it for three weeks straight or something new comes out , but i still return to it after a while. I have my yearly steady rotation of games that go back as far as 1997. Besides coop is just damn awesome , i like coop more then vs mode, thats why i still play Vegas 2.
As far as the PS3 , i really hope it does well because ever since i finished Infamous its been collecting dust .Next in line Uncharted 2

its already been proven that the ps3 is more powerful than the 360. so why have multiplats been subpar on the ps3 then. its not becuase of developers not know what they where doing. its cause its cheaper to puta game that isnt pushed to the max out on the 360 than on the ps3. Games are way shorter than they could be and we are seeing tons of dlc which could have been the entire game. This is total bull you think when rockstar developed the gta4 they didnt have the 360 limitations in mind. what gta game since ps2 hasnt had more than one island?
think abou tthe forza and the gt arguement. this a clear cut case of the 360 is holding this gen back. if these games where on the same system there is no way that these games would be compared to each other. If their was classes of games their would be b class games c class and a class. not saying that forza isnt a class but really. 1000 cars to 400 cars 3 games to 1 game. you get my point this is the hold back you are getting from the 360 games that shouldnt even be in the same playing field are getting compared to games that are way bigger and better. It's like because the 360 is their it brings gt down to the level of forza3 in no way is forza scratching the surface of gt. but its compared in every article. There is head tracking in gt have you ever used that before what is forza bring? a new what disc swapping method that sh1t is old i did that on the playstation when i played japanese games. seriously without the 360 not being bluray or not existing which ever you prefer. this generation would be alot better gmaes would be way bigger and better and maybe people would stop crying about madden we'd get a combine or something.

I understood what your argument was with the first post. You're saying that the 360's limitations, when compared to the PS3, are forcing developers to scale back and sneak in extra content after launch. Right?
.
But how you're making your point is a little off. The fault lies entirely on developers. Multi-platform games have looked worse on the PS3 because developers didn't care enough to learn the new way of developing games. Being more complex does mean you're better.
.
And games are shorter because developers have figured out that we will pay $10 to expand a game. It's not because of any limitations. DLC files are not that big and they use the same engine that the core game uses. DLC is being used to get people to buy new games and to get people to pay more. Not to cheat around the 360.
.
And don't look now, but Resistance 2, Killzone 2 and Motostorm all overcharged for DLC and GT Prologue makes you download for that stupid TV thing it does. And what about Little Big Planet? That game is all padded costs in the name of DLC. SOCOM is doing DLC, Metal Gear Online did several packs of DLC. So by your argument, the PS3 exclusives are using DLC and are short because of the console's limitations. No. They're doing it because we'll pay.
.
And don't use exclusives. Because they give you a far too real example. Use abstract examples if you're going to make an abstract argument.
.
No PS3 exclusive, aside from MGS4, has done anything innovative. Forget about using the PS3 to it's full potential. Why didn't inFamous, Uncharted, either Resistance, Killzone, or any other exclusive use the entire Blue Ray space or cell processor? Time is money. That's why. Heavenly Sword was one of the shortest games I've every played. It's a PS3 exclusive.
.
So please feel free to point out the flaws you feel exist with the Xbox 360 as this generation continues to develop. I'm going to agree with much of it. But you can't point the finger at a console you seemingly don't like without looking at the one you seemingly do.

im just talking fanboy crap.
dlc who gets more free dlc speaking of that psn jokers free. command conquer free, rag doll, kung fu free, dynamic backrounds free(japan). 360 made the ps3 have to have dlc. seriously games could be bigger and better and the 60 dollar price tag that came this generation wouldnt seem so much. you see wii didnt change their prices 50 bucks and games are big on their too. I'm not saying that 360 is the only culprit but they are a large contributor. why no wii dlc they got call of duty they internet.
theirs always another side to the story sony isn't for the crap they did either coming out at 600 not helping devlopers with their tech. no hd cords, no head set, not having psn running even decent at first. You know i loved my 360
If it had been made with the future in mind i wouldnt care but when you buy a 360 do you think i wont need a another system for 5 yrs or this will last me till next year. Do you look at the 360 and think wow you have brought alot to gaming, you gave me a hd dvd player lol you gave me free online, you gave me a browser, you aredoing your share for the community like folding home. these re things that people dont care about. but when other people look at the gaming industry like President obama all they see is that the game system is turning kids to zombies. If im gonna spend a large portion of my life playing video games i atlest want what im playing to have sometype of positive image something. not beinga power hoging piece of electric caution ( touch this and you get rrod).
seriously i always had to fight with my mother about why games werent just a waste of my time. if the system played a better image in her head Home theatre system maybe she wouldnt have liked it some much. either way im one year away from being a designer now so i feel like i think i know what im talking about.
But MY main arguement should be i guess why i feel like the 360 isnt pushing the industry further but instead slowing it down. because 360 is a great machine and has dome good games. i just wished these companies would work together, because no matter if the next xbox and ps4 come out tommorrow and both promise the world one is going to do something better than the other one.
