This is kind of a short show, but I just wanted to touch on a few things this week. This is a special episode dedicated to GamesCom. I've been MIA (missing in action) lately because I have been busy but take a look I'll be back in action full time real soon.

I don't think they will change any of the themes we already have but there should be lots of new ones coming out. They need to have it where u can just call multiple people or chose who u do and dont want to hear in home, that would work better. Cant wait for these updates in September man! Ill be back in action soon full swing got some new things coming asap.

I don't mean change the themes we already have.For example, I got the premium Dark Knight Joker theme now and when I come from Home, a game, or the store, the wallpaper change to another picture of the Joker each time. I am asking will these new dynamic themes do the same thing as my Dark Knight Joker theme?

3.0 is a reasonably sized update. It adds some things I wanted.
PS3 Slim FTW!!!
I told my friends about it. They could not believe it. Now it's at a price they can afford (or thier parents can).
BC is a bigger deal than linux. Most of my friends haven't even heard of linux.
I really want to hear more about that 'premium' psn service. If it adds cross game chat, I'm getting it day one.
I actually have a couple Xbox 360 games, Guitar Hero 2 and Spider-Man 3. I really want an Xbox 360 so I can play those games but the price point is too high. I'm waiting for a price drop or black friday.

there r gonna b more dynamic themes... dont worry about those... that was just n example of wut a dynamic theme is.... when gow releases or is close 2 release they r definitely gonna release a gow theme

You wr righ about the premium service, even thogh it might cost a little bit, it'll be worth it. And the new features coming to home are really good because of the universal gae launching, it'll bring wayyy more people to home!

Good show, Dave. I'm glad Sony drop the price. Some of my coworkers are getting PS3s now or the slim, later. Lookin forward to the Firmware 3.0. The LBP theme is dope! Sony is steppin their game up, price drop & great lineup of games. You was right about the Sony price drop rumors, I never saw any ads about the drop. Fourms on gaming sites going crazy, and people post on their facebook status. Great move by Sony. On Madden, I skip 08 & 09. I got Madden 10 from my "Hustleman". I enjoy it, maybe I have a different opinion if I pay the full price. Checkout Shadow Complex when you get ur 360. Cool game!

I think sony did it right by sort of doing a "guerrilla marketing" campaign. There has never been more buzz about the ps3 than there is now. All my friends who didnt want to shell out the money are getting one. One of them is having a garage sale just so he can buy one lol. I dont think its a question of IF they will catch MS, its just WHEN. It doesnt really mean this console is better than that, its just like you said. More developers will actually put time into making ps3 games. Which is good for everyone in the long run. Huge props to sony for cutting the price in half and redesigning their system in under 3 years. Just imagine...we have 7 more years to go in the "10 year life cycle"

@Pik - yeah I think its a good update even if some of the features, in game chat, are not included.
@T-Cal - Best free promotion Sony EVER had, its like the relaunch of the PS3. They made some mistakes but this makes it seem even more like they had it planned the whole time. Ima check that game out I hear its real good.
@aclaw4u - At the end of the day Sony made a good move if they catch up or not. It will take years for them to catch up to M$. They would have to sell hella more consoles every month just to catch up to M$. Everyone I know that didn't have one is getting one too.
At the end of the day Sony is making things interesting. M$ is kinda burnt out because they pulled out most of their tricks early and now they dont have much left to do but improve or expand the online. I told a friend of mine I was getting a 360 and he asked me why lol. He said he had one and sold it, and he is a hard core gamer. He said that after playing the PS3 the features on the 360 are cool but he felt like PS3 was still better. We will see when I get one How I feel but M$ doesnt have much to offer me right now especially since I am not paying for Live lol

Firmware 3.0 is a cool update. The dynamic LBP theme is very hot. I have said this since they showed LBP theme that they need to have a God of War 3 theme with "Kratos Ripping Off Helios Head" theme. That would be real hot. Are the dynamic themes going change to something different like some of the wallpapers do now?
