Things have been slow and most of us are just waiting for our favorite games to come out over the next few months. Tokyo Game Show had some announcements but I am going to save most of that for a special show that should be up this weekend. Needed to get a few things off my chest so here we go.

  • ODST Sells 2 Million At Launch!
  • 360 vs. PS3: Halftime Score 28 - 7
  • Does Timed Exclusivity Really Matter?
  • What Is A Gamer?
  • Netgear Wireless HD Gaming Kit (Link)
  • FFXIII 250gb PS3 Bundle Hits Japan In December 2009
  • Gran Turismo 5 Releasing March 2010 in Japan, What About Everywhere Else?
  • PS2 Emulation Coming? Here We Go Again!
  • Cross-Game Chat in October for PS3?
  • Netflix on PS3? Netflix Wants To, Will Sony Make the Move?
  • MUCH MUCH MORE

Cant download to my ipod? is this going to be available? You dont have a regular XBOX either, but that's ok, I dont have a PS3 because I cant stand how they continuously lie to people. However, I play all great PS3 games & have beaten some of them, maybe you should try & do the same.

Definition of a gamer is a gamer that has damn near played everything. I played my first game Pong in 1976, next system was the Atari 2600 in 1978 for $400 at Sears new. Ive played every Army game from Combat to Killzone 2 & now Halo 3:ODST, because FPS's are my favorite, followed by Action & Racing games.

ODST isn't an expansion, its the truth & I'm glad its selling like crazy.

PS, make this available for download, I dont have time to sit at the computer & listen.

@Lambo91 - Click the link in the show description for the bridge/access point. i have the WNR934B. They have a newer version that is black and has more antennas now that is about $20 or $30 more than the one I have.

@otherzinc - Although I know you just come in here to flame I will say that I have played the games I am interested in on 360, there just really aren't that many exclusive games that I want to play on the 360. Gears and Forza are about the only ones since I don't play RPG's and just like you didn't like Killzone 2, Halo never grew on me like that. I play stuff that I like and I buy what I really, really like, other stuff I just rent. You won't see me playing many, if any at all, rpgs or rts games cuz it's not my thing.

I was gonna be an asshole about your last comment but I won't be, the audio file will be up in a few smilies/angry.gif

Dave Good to get the Gamer on Duty back man. Keep doing what youre doing as theres always great content in your podcasts. I know what you mean about getting the 360 for Forza. Ive got a move to Australia next week but hoping to scrape the cash together to buy both by release date....Damn its going to be an expensive holiday season for games.

Look forward to Round table.

@JuiceK - yeah man I might just break down and get one for forza, my funds are kinda limited right now but I definitely want to play that game especially if GT5 isn't coming til March of next year. Plus I think I will like forza better than gt

Great episode Dave. Thanks for mentioning me on the show.

I think that Sony should do there own rental service for the video store. They really don't need Netflix because they get all the new movies and tv shows on their video store as soon as they come out. Unless they need a partner to stream the movies and shows over the net, they don't need netflix cause that would be another partner they would have to split up all their profits with from the video store.

Cross Game Chat coming in October I really don't give a damn about cross game chat. To me it would cause more problems for me playing games online than actually making it better for the PSN (TO ME). Rather have a universal party system than that any day.

That's all I can remember from the show right now but I will comment again when I listen to it again. Can't wait for the next one.

@Lambo - you can set up two routers and use one as an access point and one as a bridge but this is just easier and it uses a different frequency so you don't get as much interference. Google it and you can find out how to set it up with 2 routers.

@ Matt - Lol I knew you would get on me for that. yeah man but you know what I meant, Americans spend a shit load of money man. If you like something its not a waste but at the same time man do you really need cod on pc, 360 and ps3? Come on dogg, you gotta hella 360's and y'all always talking shit but you won't sell me one lol. You my boy and all but you are stingy as hell lmfao.

Like I said though based off of sales in the US Microsoft is king man, that's not opinion that is a fact and people have to realize what kind of affect that has on developers and publishers this generation. My opinion of Microsoft is one thing but the numbers are the truth so you gotta give them props for doing what they have done. Like I have stated many, many times I don't hate Microsoft or the 360 I just don't agree with how they lied about the problems with the 360 in the beginning when manufactures told them about the problems with the disk drives and the hardware before they even released the console.

Warranty extension or not I feel like I can't support a company who does that kind of stuff. Had it been anything else, much like what happened to the PS2, there would have been a big deal but Microsoft got off easy when it happened with them. By the time it became a big deal too much money had been invested so it got swept under the rug. Just my opinion but I will be getting one just for Forza 3 one way or the other, you stingy bastard lol.

4-PORT POWERLINE NETWORK KIT XE104G
written by Darmok45, September 28, 2009
Wired is always better than wireless when dealing with latency. You should have considered this, provided that the electrical wiring in your home can support it (and it most likely can):

http://www.netgear.com/Product...E104G.aspx

This gives you a 4-port switch on both ends of the Ethernet over Power connection too. So you plug one in near your cable/dsl modem and the other behind your entertainment center.

@Darmok45 - Trust me what I got is better than that. I almost did get this but when I looked at the differences I think I made the right pick. This is a good choice though for some, for me imo what I got is better at least for me.

Cool show, mane. Too many games, so little time. I only gettin 3 or 4 games this fall/winter until next year. Time is my enemy. I'm still playin Resistance 2(max class/10000k trophy left). I just signup for Netflix last week. It's cool, but your streaming options are limited. I can watch Family Guy on Hulu, but not on Netflix. Thanks for the info about Netgear, and I thinking about a wireless network. Oh, Im on that J & Kid Cudi, too.

@TCal - I want to play a lot of those games but in the end I probably won't because I can't beat every game. I will play as many as possible and probably only buy the ones I really, really like. I rent way more now because so many games are not worth the money imo. Man the netgear setup is the biz man I love it man never had a problem since I got it. I got both J and Cudi, I haven't bought a J cd since the black album but this bp3 is pretty good. Cudi is a weird ass dude lol, but his stuff is cool too.

@ Dave - Hey, all of my J's albums are burn copies except for Black, American Gangster, & BP3. Oh, I 4got about Vol 1(used). I dont like J until the first Blueprint, then I went back to the previous albums. Yea, Cudi is on a different planet, but good to hear something different.
