@Louie,

That's kool you disagree with my views on review scoring, however, you work for us now, you guys podcasts are to good so you work for the public now, so give us what we want; scores! I commend you guys for doing 2 shows a week you should do more, you guys are not afraid to give your opinions & you have fun doing it.

A few podcasts ago, you or Diz said you didnt play a lot of reg XBOX games?: I'm glad you're going to play Halo & Halo 2, play them on Normal first or you'll get beat down by the Flood & hate the games. However, the greatest video game experience for me was fighting the Flood in the Library on Legendary Mode waiting for the Monitor to open the ****ing door! Other games you should experience: Splinter Cell:Chaos Theory single & co-op, Doom 3, Ninja Gaiden Black & others, but I'll leave it at that.

You owe us a game lobby from what Sanii's saying, so get back to work, you guys have us (the public) hooked now, so serve the public (nohomo). - otherZinc

@otherZinc. I pretty much disagree with everything you said on the scores. And ODST is still better than Halo 3. But I still need to play Halo and Halo 2. A lack of scoring doesn't mean a reviewer is hiding from anybody.

I really feel that gamers focus far too much on scores and lose what a reviewer is saying. I've seen really great reviews get destroyed because of some stupid 9.2.

But whatever. I give scores because I've been asked to. Not because I feel they're important. But, because I'm asked to give scores, I give them with a stronger sense of criticism. So a game is going to have to change the world to get a 9.5. Forget a 10. - Louie Villalobos

@Louie,

First time I disagree with you. It isn't that I disagree, somethings are your opinion & that's fine: ex... you didnt like Halo at all until ODST, the Halo series is my all time favorite game series & Ive been gaming since the 70's, however, its your opinion. With review scores, I have a bone to pick with you (nohomo), scores are important. When a site doesn't give a score, that tells me they're afraid of fanboys, kotaku ( or whatever) doesn't have scores, I dont visit the site, nor care if they have a podcast or not. You guys rated ODST an 85 gooo, I'd rate it a 95, its all good.

When reviewers hide a score or feel a need to defend a score as gametrailers did, it shows a lack of confidence. Reviewers rating Uncharted 2 a 10 is ridiculous, I've only played through 4 stages & U2 does nothing perfect or close to it. The Stealth stage was terrible compared to old ass Splinter Cell:Chaos Theory. Yeah, when you knock someone out or whatever, the guy just lays in the light & the enemy AI has no Idea they're boy is knocked out, you should be able to pick the guy up & move him in the dark. Yeah, I know, it isn't a stealth game, well dont copy Sam Fisher or dont tell me how this cant be made on the 360 or how revolutionary the gameplay is when it isn't. There are a bunch of flaws in the game & I've only played the 1st 4 stages. - otherZinc

Changes in sequels

I agree with you guys that game producers have little room for change when it comes to a sequel . It sucks because you cant innovate as much as you would like to and if you do to much you'll get backlash from fans of the game. In my opinion small changes to a sequel are fine , a little here , a little there but some things as drastic as changing the camera position from third person isometric view to fpp and from turn based to fpp shooter is too much. Of course I'm talking about Fallout 3 here. I love the Fallout series , i have every game and to me the camera angle and the turn based combat where the best things in the game (right after story and setting) and Bethesda that pulled it out from F3.I was pissed when they said that the game is in fpp, but i thought to myself "hell at least it will be turn based so not all is lost " --NOT . I really hate Bethesda for screwing up my second favorite franchise.
Now for a person who never played F1, F2 or Fallout Tactics , Fallout 3 is an awesome game , hell i enjoyed it myself, played the hell out of that game.But to me it would have been so much better if it was done the "old" way, and from what i hear Fallout New Vegas will be the same as F3.Sucks monkey balls as Sanii would say. But ill still end up buying the damn game because no other game has that feel to it.

When reviewer points out good things and disadvantages at the end that's cool, i value that more that stupid score. When I used to buy local gaming magazine i loved reading that the most. - Lethal_Doze
