People don't know that when companies make deals they don't do them for free. Dev's say that Sony let's them be free with their games and Sony help them with development cost for their games too. It's the deals that keep companies like Insomniac & Rockstar making exclusives for the PS3. It's the deals that Sony has a 3 game deal (Dev interview with HHG on his show said it.) with Rockstar and one of the games is Agent. With PSN I will give them some time to get it right because Sony is young in the network thing and Microsoft got hella years over Sony with the internet and how it works. Sony is doing good to be a hardware company specifically. I'm gonna get more community members involved soon so stay tuned. @WAR - True because the PS3 has had more exclusives this year so far, at the end of the year that will probably change because 360 has more games coming out at the end of the year than PS3 since some games have been pushed back. Blu Ray is great but devs are not taking full advantage of it. PSN is a great service and Sony should be commended for making so many strides, but they still need a little more. @gmoney - Yeah man I agree they need to make the devs do that stuff just like Microsoft does. If they did that it would not confuse people as to what features each game has becuae they are all the same. Not using game launching from home is BS. @elijah - That was a really good idea, we listen to our community so it was something that I probably should have done a while back. Thanks to Nick for the help with that. Ther are always gonna be those features that some care about and some don't but bottom line is they gotta keep adding stuff. @T -Cal - I agree that many people would go the way of the PS3 if they added certain features and Sony seems to have more intriguing exclusives as of now. Hopefully Sony steps it up. I think that the update at the end of the year will remedy this problem. Good show. And I like ya'lls thoughts on Standardized Game Features. I'm not sure about cross game voice chat, But i think this would be a solution to fix the voice chat in ALL GAMES. i mean this way the whole clan in games IE KILLZONE2 could chat at 1 time instead of 4 in your squad or whoever is close (proximity). Although I do love the proximity chat when you kill someone on the other side and they start whining lol.. And a universal party system would be pimp also. battlefield 1943's party invite is retarded, it's like you guys said it just sucks having to learn a new way to invite people or accept invites for every game. I think a universal party system would fix that. Do i want to pay for these features? NO that's 1 of the GREAT selling points of having a ps3. FREE ONLINE!! I already pay to get online and i already paid $500+ for my ps3 and $64 for whatever game i'm playing, why should i have to pay a yearly fee? I buy DLC and $5.99 - $15 games @ the PSstore. Launching from Home - I could care less about Home or anything it does to be honest. only time i go to Home is when they giving out free stuff. I just hate all the waiting and downloading it's so annoying. and then you're like wtf is the point? i mean the free games you can play is kinda fun for about 30 mins (If you can play) but i just don't enjoy it. I just need cross game chat on PSN. I will sell my 360. Sony need to add video sharing in Home like they promise in the beginning. What else, I still play my PS2 games(Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 & Soul Calibur series). Mostly of my bubbies like fighting games. I traded my PS2 for my PS3 when I got it, May 07. BlazBlue is tight. I'm enjoying it! I totally agree with ya'll about PSN needs to have a universal party system for all their games. It is very confusing sometimes to keep up with PS games features cause some may have it and some may not. Glad to see people telling the other side of Xbox Live cause everyone else makes it seems like it is perfect like the online never lags and you never get disconnected from a game for example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MvCWtnyWK5w Game launching from Home not being in all games is Sony fault and they need to make devs put those in their games cause many people want that feature. But I also think that developers shouldn't have to be told to put that in their game if the feature is going to make the game more convenient for the consumer. Devs should know by now what feature are hot in games and what features that people want to be put in games. Like inFAMOUS & LBP should have in-game music. It is nice to have that option in a game if you want to use it. I really don;t care about in-game music cause I concentrate on the game too much to be listening to music but I know that the feature is nice to have and I know that I have a choice to use it or not.
