that's exactly my point, that should be what they do. Just think about it like this, the PSN store will carry over to the next console just like Live has for the Xbox so people will be keep all their stuff from the last 3 gens for their ps4. it just makes more sense to me, plus they are sticking with this 10 year cycle so they have to have something up their sleeve for the next 7 years lol. I dont know what is going to happen honestly but I would buy quite a few ps2 games off of the store and if the psp2 or the pspgo is able to play these ps2 games also, then u r talking major dough that Sony could be raking in. - David Simpson

Another thing, Even if they did add BC back to PS3's, I don't think we will see a huge difference in hardware sales.
It would only do them good if they released PS2 games in the store. - PikminGuts92

I am sure that the PS2 hardware was very, very cheap after 7 years of being made. I doubt they saved a ton of money on it but only they know. Still this is one of those things that people complain about that Sony needs to fix. They are in third place so they need to do more to try and get some momentum going. - David Simpson

Well they kind of did listen to thier consumers. "The price is too high!". So they removed an expensive component.

I don't know. Maybe after they stop making PS2's they might release BC. - PikminGuts92
