and for the record i finaly got to play crackdown last night.
i seriously can see or understand why how people can say crackdown is better than infamous or even prototype.
i for 1 have given prototype ALOT of flack because of its bugs and repetitiveness, but crackdown is terriable.
the missions are so unorganized theres no story line the missions are exactly the same.
i cant see what there is to like with it. - name

of course there important.
i benefit from them, because i like to know what exclusives to buy.
not all of us have a million dollars to buy every single exclusive so we can try them all out for ourselves.
tafe is a extremely fucking expensive thing.
i just bought a 360 and guess what titles im buying on it?
thats right exclusives and im relying on sites like IGN and so to tell me which ones are worth looking at.
multi plats i get for my ps3.
exclusives i get for my 360. - name

Problem?

What other people do with their time is really none of your concern. Maybe their job is a video game tester, then, by that standard, they would be 'living life'. You can't judge people based on their sole actions on the internet.

Hate/praise to an exclusive, there's something called hype. A standard, if you will. i'm sure you know what I'm on about. If a game is advertised the hell out of, naturally the people who own the console said game is coming out for should expect a superior product than most. This hype is not always a bad thing, but when the game is average, it is.

But, back to what I've said before. This will never be stopped. It's like Republican vs. Democrat, Star Wars vs. Star Trek, it's a debate. Debates happen. And, there is absolutely nothing wrong with backing your console of choice as long as you do it with a mature approach, and present facts. - Kaven

I understand they play their console but it seems like they spend so much time bashing the other console on sites like N4G as well as forums. They could spend this time living life or playing video games. Also, there are many fanboys out there that will hate or praise an exclusive they have never played before so there are "morons" out there that have no right to judge a title but will do so because they get some kind of enjoyment out of it. - Nick McCandless

Arguing

You'd be a moron if you supported a console that you don't even play. How idiotic is it to say that?

Of course these people play them. That's the reason thy like debating about it, they like pointing out what's better and what's worse. It only takes up as much time as you let it. There is nothing wrong with stating your opinion on the Ps3, Xbox 360, and Wii. Stating which you like and why is completely normal.

Now, we might be talking about two different things here. If you're referring to 'dude 360 pwns u cuz halo rules' and 'MGS4 is win, gow sucks!' then yes, that's immature, stupid, and nobody will win. What I'm talking about is 'Dude Halo has more titles' and 'Dude PS3 has a better processor.' That is what I'm talking about. Presenting facts in a mature manner. YES, it will get heated, but what debate/discussion doesn't?

This is like Call Of Duty: World At War vs. Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare. People have been arguing about them since their release, and nobody's ever going to win. Before PS vs. Xbox it was PS vs. N64. We'll never stop it, and if you can't beat 'em, join 'em. As I've stated, there's nothing wrong with sharing your opinion and backing it up with facts. - Kaven

Hey, great video!

Your points are absolutely right. I only realized this point a couple of weeks ago. I was really into all the exclusive stuff, but I realize there's no just no point to talk about exclusives. So what if the PlayStation 3/Xbox 360 has a game that Xbox 360/PlayStation 3 doesn't have? So what if both consoles get Final Fantasy 13, apart from in Japan? It doesn't mean people can't enjoy it?

The only problem I found with your point is that you dragged too far away form it. You went on about the graphics, and how you like gameplay. And then which console you liked and why you liked it more. But yeah, your point was clearly made. - Dion

If people enjoy arguing over which game or console is better rather than playing their own console and games so be it. I just do not understand that at all. - Nick McCandless

You say there's no point in arguing, but what directly affects you from it? It some people like to have a discussion, or debate, over console of choice, that does not do any damage to anyone other than people who take things personally. To call it 'stupid' is blowing it up to be this big bad thing that's overtaking the world.

This has been around a lot longer than you think. For you to bring it up now is completely irrelevant. There was PS vs. N64 back in the day. You'll never end it, there's no use in trying to convince people otherwise. People like justifying their pruchase decisions if they don't experience buyer's remorse.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with debating over which is better, but, you did get one part right, at the end of the day, it comes down to your personal opinion, your personal preference. Unfortunatley, it's perfectly normal to express your opinion to others, and, in essence by 'fighting' as you put it, we are doing just that. Expressing our opinions to others. This is nothing new, nor is it damaging. You're focusing on a small issue here, and blowing it out of proportion. It's quite humorous, actually.

There is NOTHING wrong with it. - Kaven

The only reason to compare games is when they go multiplatform. Then you can pick at every difference there is between the games on each of the systems . Why even compare two different games like GoW and Uncharted.
The other thing is some people just like to start flame wars and get some attention and we all know what that leads to.
The only thing I'm a fanboy of is good video games no matter the platform , thats why i have 6 different systems . - Darnok

"For example, someone might say every Xbox 360 gets Red Ring'd.
We all know this isn't true. But we know Xbox 360 has a 33% failure rate. "

Actually no, we don't know if it's 33%. In fact that figure was thrown out there some time ago and even then there was no data to back the number up. It was merely a guess. Since then the system has improved. No this isn't to say the Xbox 360 didn't have problems, it did and still does but throwing around the 33% figure at this point in time is not only misleading, it's fanboyish. Which is what this whole message is trying to address.

I have both consoles and i enjoy both for various reasons. Does that make me better than those that only own one? Of course not but it sure as hell puts me many levels above fanboys who IMO are one level below plant life. - LevelHead

its kind of funny how you say "who cares" well why do you care that people care about system wars? its all for fun. anyone who likes something always wants to validate. Sure every system has its great games and great features, but people are entitled to their opinion and they can express it however they want despite if its stupid or not. So again, why do you care about people who participate in flame wars or console wars? you are doing the same thing as they are, but i think that elitists are just as bad as fanboys - jay

Dude grow up!

When someone gets a console there only going to get one that 'genaration'unless there rich they will want to spunk all there extra money on games rather than another console and then have only 1 game on each console when they could have like 10 games on just on console

and thus when they have choosen that console its there job to defend it and make other buy it, this keeps there console healthy and makes game developers more likley to suport it in the future

for instance xbox has all the seriously great developers in there pocket.. Valve, Epic, Lionhead, Rare, Square Enix, ect where as PS3 has a bunch for randoms that noone has ever heard of and can only do graphics and dont have a clue when it comes to gameplay.. polyphonic, naughty dog... ermm? lol

also as xbox is more popular it makes it a good idea for microsoft to go out there and buy out exclusivse!:) FF13, MGS, GTA where as sony whos is doing _horribly_ at the checkout to get like timed exclusives of ghoastbusters?? hang on that game look soo much better on xbox, better frame rates, resolution, textures! lol why wood they buy that?? probably because sony playstion bosses are mad, where as microsoft game studios represent the best and most taliented businsse men and developers in the world

guess what console i own?? :D

and yeah i have a PS3.. to cook my burgers in...

o and thanks for making sure we all grop out of being a fanboy! nice one :D - Deith 9000

their no reason to fight over it ut it makes sites like these fun that you can talk stuff about games and get responses from someone with a totally different view.
Forza vs gt now if you compare foorza 2 to gt which were all last gen then you got me forza win but the next gen gt i hav eto go with gt.
one gt has only been available for people in a beta form.almost alpha code.
now that its finally aboutto see the light of day we findout theirs nascar, of road rally, trade between psp and ps3, go online a tune and tweak cars performance. gt jsut seems like its going to raise the bar and possibly set it up really high for a very long time.
persoanlly i prefer need for speed lol

Exclusive games i don't get why they compare them the one you used forza and GT. I don't understand why they compare them. The games are not meant to be like another game so don't compare it to another game. - HONDA04

its obvious, u got a 360 and just a 360 buy the 360 exclusives, ps3 only just get ps3 exclusives, if you got both then buy both exclusives, stay off of n4g's comment section and play the games you got, stop boastin the game and console that grandma bought you just becuzz she couldnt buy you the other console and game as well, good job nicky, cute shirt ;) - Matt Vongthongkham

People compare everything!
Whether it be sports or the latest fasion of clothing.

No, it's not wrong. IF THEY ARE VALID AGRUEMENTS.

For example, someone might say every Xbox 360 gets Red Ring'd.
We all know this isn't true. But we know Xbox 360 has a 33% failure rate.

I compared exclusives when deciding on which console to buy. If I like Killzone over Halo, I will probably lean towards the PS3 more.

Take for example Rock Band vs. Guitar Hero III. People always compared those two game at first. People liked the FULL band experience, so neversoft added vocals and drums to compete. It made the series better. It has the same affect on other games too.

Another thing, When people post articles online comparing games, it advertises them both. Now more people know about the games.

I think comparing is good. I think competition is good.
As long as it is a valid arguement, I love it. - PikminGuts92
