So we wrote this about eight months ago, but this project has been in the fire cooking for a while now. I am super happy to finally launch it. Finding Bremenn to do art was like a wonderful gift from heaven. Sadly life decided to dick punch us with constant delays, and a website redesign. Which looks lovely, but delayed the project even more. Doing TGA as a second job really is a labor of love, but because we need things like housing, food, and showers it means that projects get delayed a lot. We continue to grow and will be doing this full time some day. That said for right now you are just going to have to put up with project delays and fucked up equipment. Anyway guys, enjoy the first comic.
Hey guys! It’s been a long time coming, but our long-awaited comic is finally alive!
To start off, let me introduce myself (again): My name is Aaron Reynolds. I co-created Gamekraft with Bronson Fiori in 2008, and we, along with video-editor/Mr. Save-Our-Asses Anthony Ta joined up with The Gamer Access in January of 2011. I worked with the guys at TGA up until our Game of the Year work came to a close, then parted ways with these clowns. It wasn’t the first time I needed to take a break, but this seems more permanent. It’s something I’m sure I’ll get into in future comics.
But in the last four months, without meticulously analyzing the industry, looking for things to write about, talk about, and have slap-fights over, I’ve spent a lot of time not doing a lot. But video games find their way into my life, one way or the other. Bronson and I still talk now and then, and our different approaches, tastes, etc when it comes to this wonderful medium of ours finally inspired us to work on making a comic. After years of throwing the idea back and forth at each other, each time giving up because neither of us had any artistic talent, we eventually came across the amazing Bremman, bringing our goal to life.
Accompanying our comic will be two written posts. The one that I’ll be at the helm for will be an opinion piece, maybe somewhat an extension of my old Growing Pains post, if any of you remember that from a couple years back. I’ll have my own commentary on everything going on in the industry, in a more casual fashion than most, I imagine. Along with that, Bronson will be delivering a summary of the news since our last comic, all the bullet points that you may have missed, plus whatever else he has in store, because that’s the nature of the Gamekraft crew: no law.
Well, that’s it! Our beginning steps will be a bit…uh…immature. But hey, we’ll grow as time goes along, and we hope you’ll be there to enjoy all of it!
