Unlike Sony and Microsoft, Nintendo opted out of a large press conference in favor of a digital event. A few games were revealed and a few had new trailers. Let’s get into what really stood out to me in Nintendo’s digital showing.
The Legend of Zelda: Triforce Heroes looks really promising. It looks really fantastic and is like The Four Swords version 2.5. I am very excited to play this game and am looking forward to peer pressuring all of my friends into buy it!
The Fire Emblem for 3DS looks insanely good. The graphics look fantastic and the overall art style of the game is really stunning. I cannot wait to get my hands on this game sometime in 2016!
Metroid Prime: Federation Force was also revealed today. The new first person shooter boasts cooperative gameplay, competitive multiplayer, a new sports mini game, and a brand new story. From what we’ve seen from the short gameplay trailer, the game looks very promising.
Mario and Luigi: Paper Jam was definitely the highlight of Nintendo’s digital event. Basically it is an awesome mix between the Mario and Luigi and Paper Mario franchises. Paper Mario can do things normal Mario can’t do, which adds an extra layer to exploring the world of Nintendo’s newest RPG. The game looks down right adorable and will be an awesome addition to the Mario and Luigi franchise.
Overall, there wasn’t really anything that stood at during Nintendo’s E3 event. Sure, Fire Emblem, Triforce Heroes, Metroid Prime, Mario and Luigi, and Star Fox Zero were cool, but only Fire Emblem, Zelda, and Mario and Luigi are worth keeping your eye on. Still, I’m a huge sucker for Nintendo so chances are fairly high that I’ll end up buying all of these games.
