The Exchange is a cool store to hit in Chicago if you are ever looking for some new or old games, consoles, movies, music or comics. They have two locations in Chicago. We visited their Lake View store. We found tons of cool things and even some old NES controllers still in the box. Read more!
The place looked like a museum for entertainment. The walls are huge display cases filled with hundreds of games, from NES to PS3. They basically have everything you are looking for. Don’t see it in their store? Ask them to check the computer, they have several locations and a warehouse all linked to their computer system. They also hold games for you and can contact when they do get anything in their store you are looking for.
They do business with customers in trade-ins. Both for cash and in-store credit, though in-store credit gives you more for your trade-in. The store doesn’t just offer games either. You can find comics, DVDs of movies and television shows, music, and figurines of several characters. The figures are of game characters, movie and television personalities, and super heroes. The place is filled with tons of entertainment that you can’t find just anywhere. They get mountains of it every day too, from trade-ins and the warehouse.
So if you are in the Chicago area, I recommend you check it out. Even if to just see the collection and remember back to the games you used to play as a kid. There were games there I completely forgot about and ones I thought I’d never see again. It’s worth the trip. Also, check out their other Chicago location, we were told it’s bigger. Of course, bigger is better.
