Ignite Network is a great LAN center in Chicago, IL that I believe any and everyone in the area should check out. The prices are very respectable, they have an awesome snack bar, cool games to choose from, decked out Rock Band studios, very nice setups for gaming, and tons more! The place is even decorated with Minecraft art, Bawls bottle flower vases and other cool game inspired art. Great gaming inspired music playlists play while you game and fun gamers to meet! Ignite Network is the place to be for gaming in Chicago and I’m going to tell you why. Read more!
Prices start out at $5 for an hour of game playing and the prices get cheaper the more hours you purchase. For example, 3 hours is $12 and any unused time can roll over if you have an account with them. That rollover time expires in 3 months. They have several choices of games to choose from. Platforms include Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. The network originally started out with just PC gaming, but then branched out.
Their gaming stations also include really cool Rock Band studios you can rent out for privacy with all the DLC downloaded. I myself and other staff members (Sarah Gordon, Benny Trecroci and our guest Arthur Moy) hit the studios after we attended The Dark Knight Rises advanced screening. We had a blast taking turns with the instruments and playing some of our favorite songs. I even rocked the mic to the Bed Intruder song. The studios are complete with a stage, stage lighting, surround sound speakers, a big projection screen and the room is sound proof so we were able to rock out without bothering the other gamers.
They have a long list of games, including Call of Duty, Starcraft, Battlefield, League of Legends and Counter-Strike. They do provide everything for you, even headsets. SteelSeries even partners up with them for some gaming events as well. They also have weekly specials. Monday Fight Stick Night, where you play all the fight stick games with fellow gamers. Wednesday Ladies Night, all girls play for free. Thursday Starcraft Night, where everyone joins up to play Starcraft. Their snack bar is quite impressive itself. They have a Starbucks-like beverage selection. From smoothies to coffee, they also offer other cold drinks. For example, Bawls, Arizona Tea, energy drinks and bottled water. They even provide snacks for a good price. Enough to keep you energized for late night gaming! Their hours range from noon to 2 in the morning, except for Sundays where they are open until midnight. So if you are ever looking for something to do late at night, you can bet to find them open!
We highly recommend you check them out! We also look forward to future TGA events being held there. In the meantime, stop in and play some games while enjoying a frappuccino! It’s a great place to meet cool new gamers in the community.
