Mass Effect 2

It's 3 a.m. Tuesday morning and I'm both tired and sick. I've been playing Mass Effect 2 for about three hours. Expect a review this week. But I'm wondering something.

Do you like the game so far? Please leave your thoughts in the comments. Do your best to not be either a blatant fanboy or obvious hater. That means you should stay away from "Mass Effect 2 is the best game ever" or "Mass Effect 2 sucks" without having some solid reasons.

And please avoid spoilers. Now that I've dared you to be an ass, enjoy.

Halo 3 ODST: The Review Mishap

Halo 3: ODST

Wow! Is all I have to say about game journalism today. The quality in journalism seems to have gone down considerably. With the recent release of Halo 3: ODST, I as a gamer and a writer in the game industry have become disgusted with the majority of my peers. There are leaps in their logic that they gloss over to give Halo 3: ODST such high review scores and are also setting up bad precedents for developers to follow by giving this game such praise. Read more for my full opinion.

When Microsoft and game developer Turn 10 Studios announced a Forza Motorsports 3 demo would be available, Xbox gamers rejoiced as the demo would give them a chance to sample of the much anticipated racing simulator. Now that the demo has been out for a while, many gamers and journalists have had different opinions. From the graphics, to the crash animations, to the actual handling, and performance of the included vehicles, the demo gives us a feel for what it will feel like to drive in Forza 3.

But is that a good thing? Read more to find out.

Xbox 360 Is the Gamers’ Choice

Two Xbox 360s

Xbox 360 is the gamers' choice. In the last few months, a lot of things have happened in the gaming world. The PlayStation 3 got a slim model and a price drop and the Xbox 360 also reconfigured their pricing structure to match that of the PS3. You can now get a 120gb Elite 360 or a 120gb Slim PS3 for $299. There are a ton of games coming out and the sales for both consoles spiked since the price drops were put into effect. Now Nintendo dropped the price of the Wii, in the United States, to $199 to keep up with the price drops that have been happening recently. Nintendo has dominated this generation with total sales and game sales, but many gamers consider the true race is between the PS3 and the 360. The 360 has held a firm lead of about 7 million consoles over the PS3, due in part to the one year head start and arguably a stronger lineup of games and online services. Although the PS3 has made some strides, it has yet to take away any shine from the 360. Each console has its benefits yet both are different in regards to their functions and abilities. Sony has worked hard to improve their online network and its features, but Microsoft has continued to stay a few steps ahead in that area.

Halo 3: ODST Tour Impressions/Giveaway

Halo 3: ODST Tour

I just got back from the only GameStop in Arizona taking part in the Halo 3: ODST Tour and though I still feel that $59 is too much to pay for essentially a mini-Halo game, I'm going to buy it day one.

Why? Because those 10 minutes in the tour truck was some of the most fun I've had playing a shooter in a long time. Read More if you feel like it, or if you want to find out how to win the Halo license plate frame we are giving away. Oh, I did record some video. But I don't think I was supposed to. I'll find out and post it here if I can.
