I dont even want to think what is gonna happen if there's no PS3Slim announcement at gamescom

Great podcast heres some thoughts i had while listening:

Batman demo/ I kind of felt the same way, i was like wow this looks awesome at first, but the gameplay really got old quick for me. Hmm, i have to find a way around this room, lets see, yup the same gargoyles in every room. Although i did like how you could hang upside down from them. And the slow motion fights...got dull after the second encounter. One thing you didnt mention that might give some pop to this game...you can play as the joker. Not sure if theres two separate story modes, or if you can just play certain parts of the game as him.

ps3 price drop/ I have lots of friends who simply either cant afford a ps3, or dont want to shell out 400 bucks for one. I try to convince them its worth it for the net browser, blu-ray yada yada yada, but like you said the economy is tight right now and a price drop would be welcome news. A announcement before christmas season...well that just makes sense. The money they would lose in system sales would easily be made up in other revenues like software, dlc, psn etc.

Firmware 3.0/ I CANNOT wait for this. To have cross game chat or in-game party chat would be a lifesaver. Im playing the heck out of Battlefield 1943 and as you know THE MICS DO NOT WORK. And when they do, they always cut out half way through the match. Me and my friends pretty much gave up on EA and DICE fixing the problem, so now we just conference call on our cellphones lol. I too would be willing to pay extra for all these features.

PS Thanks/ Along with registering UPC's i thought a good idea would be to keep track of the amount of time logged into PSN w/o being idle. Not only would they be able to track down hardcore gamers, but it would encourage people to get on your playstation!

Again good podcast hope to hear the next one after gamescom. Will the sony news conference be streaming anywhere? Kind of like how they had e3 streaming on home.

it doesn't help that sony give so much information about games in development and yet dont release them for 4years giving a massive hype to the game to end in disapointment by the customers. I hate to see the ouitcome of the agents.....

I'm really excited for the Upgraded PSN service, hopefully also they'll add a true reward system for trophies.

Great episode. Thanks for the shout out Nick & Shamari. I am not getting myself excited about Sony at GamesCon. Since I am not getting myself excited, I can't be dissapointed at the conference if none of the rumors happen. People are getting excited thinking all this stuff is going to happen and will be disappointed if none of it happen and try to blame Sony for hyping the conference when they did not hype nothing at all. So I am setting myself up to be pump if this stuff is going to happen cause I have little to no excitement about this conference.

Does anyone know if any website will be streaming the conference live?

Yo, I enjoyed the Batman demo. I hope the combat system is deep on the finish game. Im like Nick, I'm tired of the rumors about the price cut & PS3 Slim. PS3 have some great games. First party companies need the support, drop the $ Sony. I hope PS Thanks is something good. I register my PS2, PS3, and the first party games. More access to betas or discounts on games would be nice. Good podcast. Looking forward to that basketball game.

About the P.S. Thanks I think Sony should check the most active users on PS3 and send them out beta codes, exclusive stuff and stuff like that as rewards of spending the time on the PS3 playing the games.

i think sony is sending the beta to NON traditional FPS players to broaden the future install base (people that will buy the game). they prob figure that most hardcore gamers are going to buy the game reguardless.... just my theory..
