BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger is a 2D arcade style fighter, which is a successor to the Guilty Gear series, developed by ARC System Works. Although it mainly appeals to the dwindling 2D arcade fighter genre, it’s definitely a detailed and polished fighter. It may not boast the appeal of, let’s say, Street Fighter or Tekken, but in my opinion it actually feels like an implementation of the Guilty Gear series. It’s fun for the gamers who are still clamoring and hoping 2D arcade fighters stay alive and BlazBlue showcases the power that 2D fighter games still have. Anyone remotely interested in the genre would feel right at home.

I have just received a press release from Electronic Arts announcing their first downloadable content plans for the recently released boxing title, Fight Night Round 4. I, along with many others, would agree that the addition of the face button controls is the most imprtant, but if you own Fight Night Round 4, do not sleep on the rest of the DLC. I completely forgot that today was Bungie Day. That's probably because it's a made up day by the Halo developer. But that doesn't mean there isn't news to be had.

They have unvieled three new Halo 3 maps that will be packaged with Halo ODST. They seem to be pretty standard Halo maps, which isn't a bad thing. What? You do care about Bungie day. No worries. Here is where you can find out what's planned for the day.

VROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!! New Motorstorm: Pacific Rift expansion pack has hit the PlayStation Store, called the Speed Pack. The Speed Pack is the first of a two part expansion pack for Motorstorm: Pacific Rift, which is called the Speed Weekend. The other expansion pack is called the Adrenaline Pack, which should be releasing soon. I’ll talk about the Adrenaline Pack when it releases; however, let’s get back on topic. The Speed pack is a great add-on for Motorstorm: Pacific Rift, coming with lots of new content that is sure to keep fans of the game busy for hours and the expansion pack only costs $9.99.

Microsoft confirmed the rumor that prizes will be coming to the 1 vs 100 Live beta beginning this Friday. I might actually have to go play this thing now because I haven't played and don't really understand the difference between "the mob" and "the crowd", I'm just going to let you know that prizes are coming in the form of Microsoft points and give you links to read stuff for yourself.

Bring on the pasta mom because a new spaghetti western is in town, and it's called Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood. This iteration may be a prequel to the first Call of Juarez, but it is definitely an evolution when compared to the first game. Everything the first Call of Juarez got wrong, Techland has nearly gotten correct. From the slow action stealthy pacing in the first game, to action packed shootouts that will even make Dirty Hairy look like Mr. Clean. Call of Juarez Bound in Blood is definitely one western oriented game that will have you jumping on your horse and riding off into the sunset.
