Hello citizens of TGA. I'm glad to announce the very first and hopefully not last Community Gamer. What is CG you ask? Well it's a "playdate" for the frequent visitors of this site. Each week we will choose a game for the Xbox360 and PS3, set a day and time and then we're ready to roll. Here's how it will work:

It has just been announced that Sony and Konami have teamed up together to bring gamers a Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker PSP Bundle. This bundle will launch coincide with the game on June 8th of this year. Although it may have seemed like the PSP was done for, Kojima's latest title may hit you by surprise. Ubisoft has finally announced today that a demo of Splinter Cell: Conviction will be hitting XBOX Live before the games official release date of April 13 2010. Read further for more details and release date.

Astro has announced their newest line of gaming headsets. Being the Tritton brand fanboy that I am, these have even amazed me. Read further for more info and pictures are below.

According to the PlayStation Blog, The PS3 and PSP versions of the game release on the 25th of May. The pre-order bonuses are as follows:

• Pre-order from GameStop and score Kratos and his Kart of Chaos
• Pre-order from Amazon and race as Ratchet or Clank
• Pre-order from Best Buy and score Nathan Drake and his Jungle Jeep

Sony have also said that when you pre-order, you will revieve one of 4 Mystery Mod and Kart packages that include a Mod, Kart and additional accessories that you can use to make your own creations. Read more for screen shots.

Check your emails today if you signed up for Final Fantasy XIV beta keys. Today I got a email from Square Enix with it saying they are releasing Alpha keys for selected people. Don’t worry if you didn’t get in if you really wanted too because this is just the first phase of the beta. So I am waiting and trying to get a beta key, check out Square Enix newsletter for details on new disciplines, weapons & tools, I notice that one of the whip weapons from FFXIII is coming to the online multi-player. source

In a very informative and interesting interview GameTrailers did, Scott Rohde from SCEA said "We are looking at using move for every title we do". This could be a bad thing or a super awesome thing. Read more for the statement and some ideas.

Although the Cerberus Network has been in full swing with free content. Mass Effect 2 will be receiving it's first “paid” batch of DLC on April 6^th 2010. The DLC is titled “Kasumi's Stolen Memory” and will be available on XBOX Live and PC. Read further for details.
