Sony has announced that PS3 firmware 3.15 will be released before Christmas. The key features in 3.15 will be the ability to play PSP Mini’s on your PS3 and it will also introduce a data transfer utility that will allow you to transfer all your PS3 data from one PS3 directly to another using a LAN cable. Both PS3's must have the new firmware to use this feature. This firmware update will be optional so it will not prompt you to update your PS3, meaning you will have to do it manually once the update is released. UPDATE: Firmware 3.15 went live last night. The features included will be active once you update your PS3. This is not a mandatory update, so you have to use the update feature to obtain the update.

According to the PlayStation blog, Sega has announced that the 3rd installment of the Yakuza franchise (Yakuza 3) will finally be coming to North America in March 2010. Yakuza was previously released in Japanese territories only, but now it will be making its way to North America. Many gamers were begging for this game to come to other territories and now the wait will soon be over. Check the PlayStation Blog for full details on the North American release for Yakuza 3.

On November 19, 2008, Netflix was available for use via the Xbox 360's NXE. This made the Xbox 360 more of a full-on entertainment hub. A later update furthered the Netflix application near www.Netflix.com quality. According to Microsoft, within the first 3 months, over one million Xbox 360 users have activated their Xbox 360 for Netflix usage.

November 2009, Netflix distributed a Blu-ray disc to PlayStation 3 and Netflix users to add Netflix functionality to the PlayStation 3.

Tossing all fanboy issues aside, some users have their arguments about which system would be more suitable for their movie viewing pleasures. Turn 10 Studios has announced the Hot Holidays DLC Car Pack. It will be released Tuesday and will cost 400 Microsoft points. So what do you get for that? Well, you'll get 10 new cars.

I don't see myself buying this pack because I already own like 100 cars in the game, but it will be there if you need to upgrade your garage. Here is a link to the announcement. Read more to see the list of cars.

The original Dead Space was a cult classic but failed to push the numbers that EA had hoped. I personally loved the game and playing it with the sound turned all the way up in the dark was the only way to play it. The game did well enough to garner a sequel though and today EA announced Dead Space 2. Read more for the full press release.

The holiday season is upon us again and much like every other holiday season, there are a ton of sales and deals on consoles, games, TV's, movies and everything else that will keep us entertained through the winter time. There are going to be a ton of deals this winter and rather than tell you every day what those deals are, I am going to tell you what to look for. Some of the more seasoned gamers may feel that this list would be obvious, but there are many others out there who are not big gaming nerds like us. Quantum Theory, a game developed by Tecmo, was initially announced as an exclusive to the PlayStation 3. Today, Tecmo distributed a press release stating that Quantum Theory will now be a multiplatform game for the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360. The game, which has been regarded as a Gears of War clone for the PS3 since details of the game were released, is a third person action shooter. Read more to read the press release information.

This episode gets a little funky. I (Diz) forgot that the electricity and internet bill is due every month, so I have major issues during the podcast, but the GenX boys hold on and we talk about how new IPs don't sell and that all gamers want is Halo and Call of Duty.

We get into the power that is EA and give our thoughts on what makes a good sequel and there is, of course, PS3 hate that is well deserved. Then we end the show with GamerTunes as always.
