The Gamer Access

In this episode, things get a little funky as we have audio problems again, but we manage to pull off a great show.

We start off with a discussion about if a game is a good game if you don't play it still. We dissect whether gamers use wrong reasoning to purchase games, like whether the game has co-op, or accessories included. We talk about the inevitable that hardcore gamers don't matter as much as casual gamers. Of course what would be a GenX podcast without the NPD numbers discussion and a quick impressions on the TRITTON AX 720 headset that Louie recently purchased. Konrad G blesses us again with GamerTunes 13. Stay tuned.

I have another show for everybody today and I cover a decent amount of topics. There have already been a few games pushed back further in 2010, the new Sony Motion Controller and Microsoft's Natal are coming out plus it looks like another year where Sony and Microsoft will battle with exclusives all the way until 2011. I been on Twitter a lot lately and I been doing some networking and I have two surprises for everyone on this show. First off we have the rapper G5Fly from the group First Flight with a new song called Exhibit O - H20 (First Flight). Second, we have DJ Black Bill Gates with the new mixtape called Kampus Kingz Vol. 1. The song and mixtape are both fire! In an industry where many gaming sites are paid to choose which games win which awards, TheGamerAccess.com has decided to step in and bring gamers an unbiased set of awards for the 2009 gaming year. With no money being made based off of our choices, we have no reason to be bias to one game or console, so we give the gamers our honest opinions on the games that released during 2009. You may be surprised to see which games were chosen for the categories, just as I was, but please remember it is all opinion and gaming is nothing to get your panties in a bunch over. Zipper has announced the MAG beta numbers in it's official blog and they're not bad. I'll give you some highlights. Read the full blog posting for all the numbers.

Zipper says the beta was downloaded more than one million times worldwide. More than 619,000 people gained at least one experience point. More than 52,000 of them qualified to be a squad leader.

The game will be released Jan. 26. Click here to watch a CES interview I did with Zipper.

I don't play games on the PC much, but I'm pretty sure I would if I had this beast of a setup. Behold the Samsung Syncmaster MD320 Monitor. This made it's debut at CES this year.

I did manage to take a quick look at it, but can't tell you why I didn't just spend all three days playing with this thing. As you can tell, it features six monitors, but can be scaled down to have three. You interested? Read more to get the specs and to start saving your chips.

You want to help Haiti pull out of that massive earthquake? Bungie is giving you two options. Buy a shirt or play Halo 3 online. I have plenty of shirts, so I'm playing Halo.

Demos rarely give an accurate look at what a game will be. Forza 3 is proof of that. But other times they do. Army of Two: the 40th Day is the poster child for that.

Aside from a couple surprises, AOT is exactly what the demo gave us. But is that a bad thing? And what about the online play? Well, read more to see a review of the game. Videos are included.

Here we have another show for you and this is the Goons at their finest. We touch on a ton of subjects as always and disagree like always.
