What's up everybody, this is Nick from TheGamerAccess.com and am proud to announce that I will be the host of the new weekly show, Nick's Gaming View. This show will be scheduled to air on TheGamerAccess.com every Saturday evening, unless there happens to be an exception.

On Nick's Gaming View Episode #1, I cover this week's latest news and events for the gaming industry. I tell everyone why I feel the Wii is in the same "league" as the PS3 and 360. I also introduce Audrey Cleo, correspondent of Qore, to the show where we talk about what goes on behind the scenes of Qore as well as get her impressions on the gaming industry. Lastly, I discuss what really grinds my gears.

The quality of the video is not quite where I want it to be, but that is due to the limit of rendering my current computer gives me. So in order to provide you guys with the best experience possible, I will be purchasing a quad-core desktop to bring you guys High Definition video quality. Please bear with me!

UPDATE: It seems I misunderstood Zipper Interactive's statement of saying Xbox LIVE is more "juvenile" than PSN. There statement was saying that there are more immature gamers with mics on LIVE compared to PSN. I apologize for the misunderstanding.

The Past

In the mid 90's, the PlayStation 1 console was released, and I have been a hardcore gamer since then. Some may consider it to be a great leap for gaming. Long and behold, the release of the PlayStation 2 furthered the notion with better graphics, and classic sequels. Although those were great improvements, I craved a much more deeper experience. One of the best PC real time strategy games is on sale through Steam this weekend only .The complete pack is now only $12.49 which includes the original Company of Heroes and two expansion packs (Opposing Fronts and Tales of Valor).

Company of Heroes is one of my favorite PC games of all time and it still holds up very well even though it was released way back in 2006.There's nothing like a 4vs4 online player vs player game.

Get it while it's hot!

As much as I hate to admit, I have not played Uncharted 2 for a couple months now. Ever since Modern Warfare 2 came out, it has been consuming most of the gaming time I have. About two months ago Naughty Dog provided an update to the game which gave gamers an all new multiplayer map, named "The Fort", but they are not stopping there. They have just announced that they have worked together with Guerilla Games, Insomniac Games, and Sucker Punch Productions to bring all  Uncharted 2 multiplayer gamers new skins. January 28th, next Thursday, there will be a PlayStation Heroes Skin Pack for download off of the PlayStation Store for the price of $4.99. This will include seven skins featured from Killzone 2, Resistance 2, and inFAMOUS. Is this worth $4.99 to you? Let us know!

There aren’t many sports games, in my opinion, that you can be sure will be a quality game each year it’s released.

Sometimes one of the hockey games is good. This year, EA’s NBA Live was solid. And Madden will sometimes turn out to be more than a roster update. Sometimes.

But I’ve been able to count on MLB: The Show pretty much every year. And by the looks of it, this year’s version isn’t going to disappoint either.

Many gamers out there, like me, have been amazed by the lack of marketing Sony has done for MAG when it is releasing January 26, this coming Tuesday. With the game being only a few days away, I have yet to hear anything about pricing or distribution options for this game, until I finally received information from Jill Webber, PR representative for MAG. She responded to my question by saying:

"MAG is available only on Blu-ray and will be priced at $59.99."

So there you have it folks. MAG will be $59.99 and will not be offered as a downloadable title on the PSN. This actually surprised me, but let me know what you think.

This is a quick impressions video for Peggle. The game is great and everyone should check it out. Peggle and the Peggle Nights Add-On are available on the iPhone, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

Like it or not, motion control gaming is here to stay. Any doubt of that was erased at last year’s E3, where Microsoft and Sony paraded out their version of the technology.

Another fact is that the idea of motion control gaming isn’t new. It goes back to last generation. But we’re in the middle of a gaming revolution that will feature 3D gaming and motion-guided controls.
