Microsoft announced today the creation of a new Xbox 360 console. This one will be centered on Modern Warfare 2. It will cost $399 and come with the standard version of the game, two controllers and a 250 GB hard drive. Here is the link to Major Nelson's blog posting.
It looks wicked, but is this something people will buy? Discuss.

I was just thinking the same thing I have the Halo 3 version of the Xbox and a broken PS3. They have to be worth at least $20.

seems like people will buy this, since there is massive hype for this game. But that $400 price isn't looking too nice when you could just buy a cheaper xbox 360 and get the game for a lower price, if I calculated correctly.

You terribly miscalculated this system: it has a 250 GB hard drive, 2 wireless controllers, a $60 Game, & custom finish for $100 more than a 120GB, 1 controller, no game Elite! Yeah, you should check your calculations one more time, you may have a different view.

I wouldnt even consider getting a 360 until they get the failure rate below 10% with free online gaming and thats not happening. Warranty schmority i shouldnt even have to worry about it. I guess the finish looks ok if your a MW2 fan. Personally i like skinit.com where you can make your own custom skins for your console. I have a ton of bullets on my ps3. I think its from the "Black" cover. looks sweet.

Then youre missing out my friend. Im pretty sure the Jasper chip cut the RRoD in half , but dont know about the shitty dvd drive. In my opinion , saying that im not gonna buy a console because it has crappy failure rate is stupid .Its like saying that im not gonna buy a Dodge Challenger SRT8( sweet ride btw) because its not as reliable as a Toyota Camry .If i thought that way id never buy a PS3 because it didnt have this or that. It had games that i wanted to play and thats all that mattered. . Either you want something or not. You just gotta weight out the pros and cons, and if games and Xbox Ive isnt enough then just stick with the PS3.
But thats just me .

sony can kiss my ps3 slim purchase away, because thats one sweet ass bundle. the ultimate deal breaker wouldve been if it includes the wifi thats been talked about, nonetheless im borderline on what i want now, hmm.....

this looks cool? looks like someone slopped light gray paint on the side, then ran over the edge with a bicycle. LAME! the only thing that resembles the game is the "2" on the front. the rest of the package sounds like an ok deal but it's still a 360 with all the same downfalls and negative karma. i'll pass. : /
