E-mail Print PDF

It's February 9th is the start of a wave of game releases that should run pretty solid all the way through until April. The key, or most mainstream, game releases set for tomorrow are Bioshock 2, Star Ocean: The Last Hope International, Dante's Inferno. Bioshock 2 and Dante's Inferno will be released cross platform and Star Ocean will see its first release onto the PS3. The 360 version of Star Ocean was released on February 24, 2009, almost a full year before the PS3 version. Which one of these games interests you more and which one(s) do you plan on picking up?

Generation X Episode #31: Who Doesn't Like A Ton of Cut Scenes?

E-mail Print PDF

Generation X

In this episode, we discuss the utter importance of accepting a game for what it is instead of complaining about something it does not possess, for an example Heavy Rain, Metal Gear Solid 4 and Final Fantasy XIII containing so much in-game video. We tackle the idea of how gamers purchase games and how they decide which to rent when comparing similar games. Exclusivity becomes an issue again when talking about L.A. Noire becoming multiplatform. Of course, what would be a GenX podcast without us poking fun at our site mates and making fun of PS3 MAG players. Some how Steven Segull becomes a quick topic for discussion. Konrad G delivers another GamerTunes. Stay tuned.

Get the Heavy Rain Demo Early!

E-mail Print PDF

Heavy Rain Logo

Here is how you can get the Heavy Rain Demo right now.

All you have to do is follow these simple instructions!

  1. Go Here and register an account
  2. After you have registered, log in (Duh) and prepare to earn your code by playing a simple flash game
  3. Once you are into the game there are a few objects that you have to select. If you want to actually play the game then I dont recommend you read the next step, just skip straight to step number 5. If you want the code right away, step 4 is awesome.
  4. In no particular order, choose these objects • The origami bird (bottom left) • The short cigarette butt from the cigarette butts (around the middle) • coffee shop C (bottom right) • The right hand driver picture from the tire tracks which is the third from the left (bottom right)
  5. The grand finale. Click in the picture of the blue folder which is the evidence dossier, then click yes. After a while your 12 digit code should pop up which you can then redeem in the PlayStation Store, just make sure you use a European account to redeem it otherwise it may not work!

OMG! ModNation Racers Headed to PSP

E-mail Print PDF

Well this is definitely a welcome surprise. ModNation Racers is also coming to the PSP. This has fully solidified my interest in the franchise, especially since I still play Mario Kart on the DS and Gameboy Advance. The PSP game will feature almost all of the same features as it's big brother version that will land on the PS3 sometime in 2010. Read more for details and the developer interview with GameSpot. For some reason the video only wants to work in full screen, so click the full screen icon until I can fix the problem or click on the source links.
